Over the next 100 years rising sea levels will cause massive migration from coastal areas. According to the U.N Atlas of Oceans 8 out of 10 of the largest cities in the world are in coastal ranges that will be affected by the rising sea.
Rising sea levels will affect more than just coastal communities. Millions of people will have to relocate to neighboring cities which will cause economical strain on those communities and its residents. The Supply and Demand chain will change drastically in these neighboring cities. These areas will experience Job scarcity, food insecurity, homelessness and much more.
These are things we have become accustomed to already but will be more prevalent in these neighboring cities.
Rising sea levels are also causing nuance flooding in coastal areas. Nuance flooding has quadrupled within the last 50 years. It is unpredictable, costly and dangerous. Salt water damages infrastructure such as roads, bridges, power plants, landfills, oil wells, gas wells, sewer treatment plants and it also contaminates fresh water sources.
Ice sheets from the Greenland ice sheet are melting seven times faster than 50 years ago. Ice loss from the Antarctic has near quadrupled over the past 20 years.
As global annual temperatures continue to rise the rate at which sea levels are rising is going to increase which means sea level rise inevitable.
We need to do something now to begin preparing for the relocation process of millions of people. The material from these coastal areas can be salvaged now and reused in the relocation process.
We have begun the process of program creation to address this growing concern. If you have any suggestions or comments you would like to add please feel free to discuss with us.
This is the beginning of a lengthy in depth discussion topic.

It’s very concerning. We are seeing more and more lower coastal cities being affected by this. And your right we need to address this now because sadly it’s to late to stop it. Our coastal’s are forever changed. The sea levels are already creeping up in ares like New York and San Fransisco. 😥
