Children are being ripped from their parents hands by social workers all over the country. Doctors have prescribed people opiates and these people have become addicted and in turn their children have been taken from them. Within recent years the foster care epidemic has doubled due to opiates.
The foster care systems throughout America are largely funded by American tax payers and there isn't enough money to go around. The American government then gives these funds to non profit organizations that foster the children until they are adopted or reach a legal age for release.
At the moment the state of the American Foster Care System is so damaged the nation is calling for reformation of the system. There are currently just over 400,000 children in the American Foster Care System and many of them will be subjected to incarceration due to their circumstances.
We need to unite together and accept these children into our families to provide them with a healthy environment for growth but it is difficult for the average person to meet the standards necessary to house a foster child in today's crippled economy.
